I have been neglecting my blog -- no excuse except that it's gardening season and I'm spending all my time out there. Also, Mike was away for a few weeks so our homestudy was put on hold. He is back now, however, and I suddenly realize that my dossier is half done and completely unorganized! So it's time to review the checklist and get my letter to the Ethiopian Minister for Women's Affairs completed -- among other things. Our final visit with Kim is this Saturday. I am starting to get pretty excited about things. This part of the process seems to have taken so long. We first contacted Kim back in February, and had to wait to finish PRIDE, then schedule visits. So I purposely put it on the back burner to avoid the down days. Now I'm on a high again, and hoping that things move along well.
We finally received our OPP police checks. That has been the worst part of the process. Anyway, we're set with now and on to other things.
We are also really looking forward to dinner out with area couples -- can't wait to meet more people in process. And even better, once we all have our babies it will be great to set up a regular playdate and really get the community going.
Thanks again Shan for getting things going.
