The thought of periodically updating this blog for the next few years is painful. I am not the type to write off topic notes about my day or anything else.  So this is it.  When we finally have some real news, you'll all know it soon enough.  There are still telephones, in our house anyway.

Moving along...

I met with our CAS worker, Marnie, a few weeks ago.  She had a 'Meet and Greet' so there were about 20 other families there as well.  Basically, she gave us an update on the adoption process and timeline.  It was not really possible for her to give people a timeline specific to them, since we are all requesting different things, and the process is based on matching, not cuing in a line.  But I got the strong feeling that children under 3 are not up for adoption all that often.  

We hardly noticed that it's been over a year since we started the process, since it's gone by so fast.  And now we are so busy with Spring (I have already been in the garden--yay) and next Fall Katie will be starting school, that I don't feel like a few years is really much wait at all. Whenever it happens will be the right time.  I definitely wouldn't have said Nate being born when Katie was under 2 was ideal...but it all turned out great, though we were crazy busy that year.
